North West London Teaching School Hub is one of 87 Teaching School Hubs designated by the Department of Education. North-West London Teaching School Hub was designated as the centre of excellence for teacher development for Brent, Barnet, and Enfield, with Wembley High Technology College (a part of Wembley Multi-Academy Trust) named as the lead school.

We deliver the ‘golden thread’ of teacher development, including: Initial Teacher Training, the Early Career Framework, specialist and leadership National Professional Qualifications, as well as the Appropriate Body service.

Vision

The shared vision of North West London Teaching School Hub and Wembley Multi-Academy Trust is “Achievement for All”. We fundamentally believe that every teacher has an entitlement to access high quality professional development throughout every stage of their career, and that every child has an entitlement to exceptional education, regardless of background.

Values

Integrity – We deliver work of the highest quality (by our standards as well as those of our schools and partners).

Respect – We respect the capacity and desire for professional growth of teachers at every level. We work with teachers and school leaders with consideration and understanding, recognising that teaching is a demanding profession, whilst supporting them to engage in professional development.

Diversity – We strive for a diverse teaching workforce. We are committed to North West London Teaching School Hub being an organisation in which all individuals have an opportunity to flourish and succeed, regardless of their age, disability, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, race, religion, belief or sexual orientation.

Student Achievement – We understand the impact that the golden thread of professional development has on student outcomes. We are a research-led, evidence-driven organisation, grounded in professional development which drives school improvement.

Working in Teams – We collaborate with lead providers, teaching school hubs, curriculum hubs, and local schools, to form a powerful community of expertise aimed at strengthening the local training and development offer.

Sharing our Success – We tap into local expertise and knowledge, cultivate partnerships, and create opportunities for local schools to drive our work forward, and create Visiting Fellow networks across three boroughs.
