What are School Experience Days?
Our School Experience Days offer a unique, behind-the-scenes look into school life. This is your chance to get a real sense of what it’s like to be part of a vibrant school community, experience a typical day in the classroom, and gain practical insights into the teaching profession.
Each day is designed to be interactive, engaging, and fun! You’ll have the chance to:
- Shadow fantastic teachers in action
- Observe engaging lessons and school activities
- Chat with current staff about their experiences and what it’s really like to be a teacher
- Get valuable advice on the application process, training routes, and tips for success
What Makes Our School Experience Days Special?
At North West London Teaching School Hub, we believe in making the teaching profession accessible and inspiring. Our School Experience Days are tailored to give you hands-on experience and the chance to explore whether teaching is the right path for you. You’ll be welcomed into schools with open arms, meet passionate educators, and feel the excitement of learning and teaching.
What do our Trainees say?
Don’t just take our word for it! Here’s what some of our trainees have to say about their experience with School Experience Days:
“Very helpful. Great insight into how teaching will look like. The staff are all passionate and lovely.”
“It was really helpful to see the lessons happening in WHTC despite having an offer already. Seeing how different subjects handle students was informative, and we had conversations about how each one went. Thank you to everyone involved with the trainees; it was a really good session and I can’t wait to hopefully get started!! :)”
“I found going into classrooms to observe a lesson very helpful as it helped me to really understand the general guidelines and practices of effective teaching and helped me feel more confident about my future career. I’m glad I came in for the open day as it was very beneficial for my experience with teaching.”
“It was really helpful to understand more about the programme and have the opportunity to speak with trainees.”
